I’m so glad you’ve landed here. I’m Tiana Dargent, a white settler, cis queer leatherdyke, and mother. I’m currently living on unceded Algonquin Anishinaabe territory (so-called Ottawa) and I encourage you to discover whose land you reside on and make intimate connections with the local communities impacted by settler-colonialism.
I am passionate about sharing knowledge and resources with members of the queer* community on all aspects of death, dying, and grief. These are difficult topics for any community and ours has a myriad of special considerations which are not well addressed in conventional end of life planning and care. I aim to aid in the transformation of deathcare spaces to allow all people access to exceptional, personalized, and compassionate care. Find out more about how I do so on my Offerings page.
*I use the term Queer in the broadest sense of the term, including the entirety of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community.
